George Raft was born on September 26, 1895. That was an incredible 130 years ago. In his final interview, he stated that was the year of his birth and his family confirmed that date to me several years ago.
All of these years later, people still find him handsome, gentlemanly, and appreciate his self deprecating humor. George lived a colorful life in a black and white era. And that sums things up quite nicely.
As of today, George has an account on Instagram at instagram.com/georgerafttheactor. The content will be slanted towards his films with some behind the scenes stories and on occasion, a little gossip. Well, he did lead a colorful life.
