Want some quality time with George? Early this morning, Each Dawn I Die (1939) with James Cagney aired on Movies! and will air again on November 19 and November 29. Tonight Background to Danger (1943) with Sidney Greenstreet and Manpower with Marlena Dietrich and Edward G. Robinson will air back to back on TCM. On November 12, Skidoo (1968) will air though this film was a dud despite starring Jackie Gleason and being directed by Otto Preminger.
Happy viewing!
Right now on the Criterion Channel (subscription required), they are showing the Pre-Code Paramount Collection, which luckily include a couple of the fabulous films of George Raft (If I Had A Million and Night After Night). Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for posting that Criterion is showing two of his films this month. Neither of these is readily available elsewhere. 😀
